AUTHOR GUIDELINES

Journal STRANOVIA (Scholarly Teaching Research and New Approaches in Various Academic Innovations) provides clear and comprehensive author guidelines to ensure the quality, consistency, and academic integrity of all published manuscripts. Authors are strongly advised to read and follow these guidelines carefully prior to submission. Manuscripts that do not comply with these requirements may be returned to authors before entering the peer review process.


1. General Information

Journal STRANOVIA is a peer-reviewed academic journal that publishes original scholarly works in the field of primary and secondary education. The journal welcomes contributions from researchers, educators, practitioners, and policymakers at national and international levels.

  • Manuscripts must be original, have not been previously published, and must not be under consideration by other journals or publishers.

  • All submissions must be written in English using clear, academic, and professional language.

  • Submissions are accepted only through the journal’s Online Journal System (OJS).

  • Authors are fully responsible for the content of their manuscripts, including accuracy of data, ethical compliance, and proper citation practices.


2. Types of Manuscripts Accepted

Journal STRANOVIA accepts the following categories of manuscripts:

  • Empirical Research Articles
    Quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-methods studies addressing teaching, learning, curriculum, assessment, or educational policy in primary and secondary education.

  • Conceptual or Theoretical Articles
    Manuscripts that develop or critically examine educational theories, models, or frameworks with strong scholarly grounding and relevance to educational practice.

  • Systematic or Critical Literature Reviews
    Reviews that synthesize existing research, identify gaps, and propose future research directions using rigorous review methodologies.

  • Case Studies and Best Practice Reports
    In-depth analyses of innovative instructional practices, school-based interventions, or educational programs supported by evidence.

  • Reflective and Practitioner-Based Articles
    Critically informed reflections on teaching practices, professional development, or school leadership grounded in theory and evidence.


3. Manuscript Structure and Organization

Authors must prepare manuscripts using the official Journal STRANOVIA manuscript template, available on the journal website. Manuscripts that do not follow the template may be returned prior to review.

A standard manuscript should include the following components:

a. Title

  • Concise, specific, and informative

  • Reflects the core focus of the study

  • Written in sentence case

  • Avoids abbreviations, acronyms, or overly general wording

b. Author Information

  • Full names of all authors (without academic titles)

  • Institutional affiliations (department, institution, city, country)

  • ORCID ID (if available)

  • Corresponding author’s email address

c. Abstract

  • Length: 150–250 words

  • Written in English

  • Should clearly state:

    • Research background and rationale

    • Research objectives or questions

    • Methodology (design, participants, instruments)

    • Key findings

    • Main conclusions and implications

d. Keywords

  • 3–5 keywords

  • Separated by semicolons

  • Reflect the core concepts of the study

  • Suitable for indexing and discoverability

e. Introduction

The introduction should:

  • Clearly define the educational problem or research gap

  • Present relevant theoretical and empirical background

  • Demonstrate the significance of the study

  • Clearly state research objectives or questions

f. Literature Review (if separated)

  • Critically engage with recent and relevant literature

  • Establish the theoretical or conceptual framework

  • Highlight gaps or limitations in existing research

g. Methodology

This section must be described in sufficient detail to allow replication and should include:

  • Research design and approach

  • Participants or research context

  • Data collection instruments and procedures

  • Data analysis techniques

  • Ethical considerations and approvals (if applicable)

h. Results / Findings

  • Present findings clearly and systematically

  • Use tables or figures where appropriate

  • Avoid interpretation beyond the data presented

i. Discussion

  • Interpret findings in relation to research questions

  • Link results to existing theories and prior studies

  • Discuss implications for educational practice and policy

  • Address limitations of the study

j. Conclusion

  • Summarize key findings

  • Highlight contributions to theory and practice

  • Provide recommendations for future research

k. Acknowledgements (Optional)

  • Funding sources

  • Institutional or professional support

  • Contributions not qualifying for authorship

l. References

  • All cited works must appear in the reference list

  • Use APA Style (7th Edition) consistently

  • Authors are encouraged to use reference management software


4. Formatting Requirements

  • Manuscript length: 5,000–10,000 words (including references)

  • Font: Cambria, 12-point

  • Line spacing: 1

  • Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides

  • Page numbers: Bottom center

  • Tables and Figures:

    • Numbered consecutively

    • Provided with clear titles and captions

    • Referred to explicitly in the text

All formatting specifications are embedded in the official template and must be followed strictly.


5. Ethical Considerations

Authors must comply with the journal’s Publication Ethics. Manuscripts involving human participants must demonstrate ethical approval and informed consent where applicable. Data integrity, transparency, and respect for participants are mandatory.


6. Peer Review and Revision Process

  • All manuscripts undergo double-blind peer review.

  • Authors may be required to revise manuscripts based on reviewer and editor feedback.

  • Revised manuscripts must be resubmitted within the timeframe specified by the editorial office and accompanied by a detailed response-to-reviewers document.


7. Plagiarism Policy

  • All submissions are screened using plagiarism detection software.

  • Manuscripts with unacceptable similarity levels will be rejected or returned for revision.

  • Proper citation and paraphrasing are the responsibility of the authors.


8. Copyright and Author Rights

  • Authors retain copyright of their work.

  • By publishing in Journal STRANOVIA, authors grant the journal the right to publish and distribute the article.

  • Authors must ensure that all third-party materials are used with appropriate permissions.


9. Template Download and Submission

Authors must use the official Journal STRANOVIA manuscript template, available on the journal website under the Author Guidelines or Submission section. Manuscripts submitted without using the template will not be processed.
